BMWs R1200 RT, not very pretty but good at what it does.
The BMW R 1200 RT is voted the UK’s number one motorcycle for the third time according to RiDE magazine’s 2009 RiDER POWER Survey.
The boxer-engine tourer is as popular as ever with owners and, as if to emphasise its touring capabilities, the RT also topped the Best Tourer category – for the fourth consecutive year.
Simon Weir, Deputy Editor of RiDE magazine summed up the R 1200 RT after a recent test, “The BMW RT is so much more than just a tourer. In standard form, minus any of its electronic trickery, heated everything, sat nav and radio, it’s simply an excellent motorbike.”
