Christmas with a BMW

Christmas has been and gone, leaving in its expensive wake a raft of shattered and mauled parents with drained and red bank accounts.

As I get older Christmas gets less like a Dickensian Post card and more like a Dickensian Workhouse. Months before the fateful day we squirrel money away, and still find on the 26th the account is more than empty. Just so the evil putrid slugs that run the banks can afford a better set of golf clubs for next year, yeah I’m talking to YOU Abbey National or Santander or whatever you are called, give me my bank charges back!

But surely this time of year can bring great joy to the motorist? He has all sorts of humorous gifts that distant relatives can shower on him. Homer Simpson Ice scrapers come to mind, or a nice AA book of the road. One of those car care kits, with an air freshener and a sponge you wouldn’t use on your dishes, let alone near the paintwork of your car. No one thinks to get him a new set of shocks, a service or even a tank of fuel, all things that would be greeted with sage nods and deep thanks. Or if you are feeling like splashing out, how about getting his chassis and suspension set up? buy him tickets to a track day, new set of decent tyres anything but another pair of driving gloves.

Well, Christmas aside, lets plunge into the red meat of this entry, yes I know its been a while coming and I realise that in order to keep you readers happy I need to be fresh and throw out new material all the time, but have you ever considered just how hard it is to write about the act of motoring? Let me tell you it’s not easy finding new things to talk about, so I spend a lot of time thinking about other things and relating them to motoring. This is mainly because what I really want to do is write about cars. The only one I can talk to you about is mine, because thats the only car I have access to. No one has been crazy enough to let me drive off with their brand new set of wheels and not make a squeak about it. Even Honda told me to ‘bugger off’ when they discovered the real reason I wanted to test drive the new Civic. Yup no one has been nuts enough to hand me the keys to anything… until now!

This is not a review, as I didn’t have the car long enough so it’s a rambling impression of it

BMW make reasonably good cars, thats a well-known fact. For a while they made terrible cars and relied on the badge to sell it, they created a compact and dropped the price and the quality until BMW almost had the exclusivity of a branch of Tescos. That said, most people will be impressed when the blue and white propeller pulls up outside and you step out (even if it has a comedy bodykit on it) The badge still screams ‘German’ and that means ‘well built’ and ’solid’ and ‘reliable’ and ‘boring’.

A crazy man let me loose in his nearly new BMW 1 series 2008 model with a 2.0 Diesel engine. I wont tell you who he is as he uses his car for his business, and it would terrify his clients to know that the car he was teaching in could tailslide like that… oops did I say too much? Anyway, I was given a chance to play with this on what could only be described as the wettest day in history, it was as if God himself was bailing out his cellar with a bucket, but undeterred, I fired it up and headed out.
Being a man, the first thing I did was turn off the traction control, and for the first part of the drive the car behaved itself very well, its runflat tyres gripped the road as we pootled around in urban mode, not going over 40, no sharp turns and no sudden drama, the only thing that threw me was the ecomentalist computer that turned the engine off every time I stopped at a set of lights, but you get used to it and it can be turned off. Soon we left the town behind and hit the A roads. Because it was raining a bit, every other driver was panicking and driving at 3mph down the center of the road, eyes bulging, knuckles white on the wheel. eventually, after about three seconds of this I decided I had had enough so dropped it into third and went for it, only to find the engine totally out of puff and lights on the dash demanding what the bloody hell I was playing at.

This was a big shock to me, this car is full of clever electronics, designed to help you along. It has lights to suggest what gear you really should be in, it has automatic wipers, lights and what not, all things that blokes would, like me ignore or turn off. I know what is best not some German technician in castle BMW so I found I was fighting the car and not driving it. The gent that had given me the keys had foolishly (or sensibly) decided to come along for the ride, and so far he had not said a word (probably out of fear or loathing) but he suggested, as we struggled to over take that I should let the car help out, and do as it suggests. So, at the next nice twisty bit of road, traction control on, I went for it.
The car handles well for what it is. It’s forgiving and responsive, it tells you through your backside what it’s doing, you can ‘feel’ it. I was expecting the electronics to be brutal with me as the road was wet and I was pushing, but help from the abs and the traction control came in a gentle curve, it only stamped its foot when I got a bit too lairy. I think this is the point of the car, it’s not designed to be a race car out of the box, its not designed to be belted round every corner, but if you ask it to it will. No it’s designed for a family to pootle about in comfort and safety. Have a crash in this and if all its airbags go off you can use it as a raft. Leave the kids behind and you can have a little fun with it but being a BMW and a diesel, it’s going to be  sensible fun.

This is all far to nice for me, the car feels like it will be as reliable as a sunrise, and as safe as mothers arms, the only time this car will get out of hand is if you blind it by turning all the safety devices off and weld your foot to the floor. It’s like that nice girl, you know the one, who wears big pants to keep the cold out and always has a pen. Personally I prefer it to break now and again and threaten to throw us both into a ditch if I get it a tiny bit wrong, like that girl that doesn’t bother with underwear and has an emotional meltdown every time it rains.

Albany Bar Scene: The Oh Bar

On Fox News “O'Reilly Factor” Thursday night, guest-host Monica Crowley, filling in for Bill O'Reilly, went after “CBS Evening News” anchor Katie Couric for her recent comments that the economic situation has made the United States an “angry nation.”

“Way to attract more viewers, Katie,” Crowley said, asking, “Is this another example of the elite left-wing media looking down on Americans or is Katie right about the mood of the country?”

Crowley and Tim Graham, director of media analysis for the conservative Media Research Center, attempted to argue that Couric's comments come only as President Obama's approval ratings fall.

“I think it's one thing to say the country is angry,” Graham said. “I think that's fair. When she goes on to talk about how there's too much disrespect, that's when you're beginning to see that whole idea of how unfortunate that we would have people who would so publicly and angrily disagree with President Obama.”

“I'm wondering, Tim, where Katie Couric was and if her concern about an angry nation when the left was crucifying President Bush as a war criminal and Hitler, when Code Pink was in Condoleezza Rice's face, when there are wall-to-wall, left wing, vicious attacks,” Crowley responded. “Where was she in that concern?”

“You know it seems to me that anybody who is an elite left wing liberal, whether they are in the media like Katie Couric or not,” Crowley continued, “they are intent on smearing or tarring anybody who might disagree with the liberal agenda.”

WATCH:

More than two years after information about Comcast's data delaying techniques came to light, a class action lawsuit over the issue has come to a close with a settlement of $16 million and no statement of wrongdoing from the cable giant. That means Comcast continues to tout its newer bandwidth management protocols and those of you that used Ares, BitTorrent, eDonkey, FastTrack or Gnutella betwen April '06 and December '08 and/or Lotus Notes on the service anytime in the summer of 2007 can head over to the settlement website to either opt out of the class action or receive a $16 check. So is that enough cash to make up for the time wasted waiting for Naruto fansubs, Gutsy Gibbon images and the like to finish downloading?

The Oh Bar, which sits right on Lark Street near Madison Ave., is one of Albany's most prominent gay bars. Weather you are gay or straight it's a nice place to hang out and have a drink, so I recommend you check it out.

The Oh Bar is usually less crowded than most places on Lark, and generally has some good seating left for you and your group. The inside is a bit dark and cold, with not too much decoration, and a lot of open space which is generally used for dancing or milling about. There is a pool table in the back, one of the few on Lark that you may actually have a chance at using without waiting five hours. The Oh bar is also clean. Even the bathrooms here are generally nice, which is unheard of in this part of town.

All of these things are great, but my favorite thing about the Oh Bar is its patio. It's a nice sprawling space that is more calm and private than most anywhere on Lark Street. It, sadly, is required by city ordinance to close at 11:00pm (noise codes, of course). Usually (word to the wise), the bartenders will not be so attentive to ht e closing time if it's a quiet night.

There are a couple of downsides to the bar. First off the drinks can be a little on the expensive side. Nothing outrageous, but for the area they are certainly not the cheapest around. Next are the flirting policies. Straight women apparently come here not to get hit on, so if that's your plan you may want to steer clear of this place. My friends and I have been removed from the bar before for even trying to strike up a conversation with groups of girls.

So, as long as you don't mind paying a premium price for your beverages, and aren't planning on taking a lady home tonight, you may like to have a relaxing night at the Oh Bar. It's a nice quieter place to socialize with friends or meet new people, if that's your thing.

BMW responds to Volvo with an electric 1-series

BMW escalates the fight in the eco-friendly cars segment as it’s 1-series has been converted to take on Volvo’s new electric C30.

The Bavarians from BMW have been working, like the swedes, on a small, electric, city hatchback which you can recharge from any ordinary electric socket. The whole development programme is called “project i” and its second phase will be revealed at the upcoming Detroit motor show. The car is known as the 1-series Concept ActiveE. That means that this all-electric 1-series beemer will have to face Volvo’s C30 as both cars will be launched at the same event. However, even tough both these cars are electric versions of small town models, don’t think that they are identical. The BMW for instance promises to be more sporty with its 170bhp and 184lb ft of torque. That is a lot even from a conventional car with an internal combustion engine. And, as always with electric motors, the torque comes almost instantly so the car can reach 60mph in less than 9 seconds. Don’t treat it wrong, this eco-friendly car is fast.

The range, BMW claim, is about 100 miles and it takes just 3 hours to fully recharge the batteries – a full 5 less than the Volvo. That is impressive indeed. But the changes don’t stop there – the new concept gets low-drag wheels equipped with low-resistance tyres and aerodynamic changes to help reduce drag. This car is really full of technology although I think that is more showboating than actual testing for production purposes. For example it has a kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) as used in 2009 in Formula 1. Basically what it does is it stores energy for the batteries while under braking – therefore charging the batteries and stopping you faster.

Like the Volvo, this project, will be offered as a lease programme to customers as BMW prepares to put the car into production in and it is expected to make an appearance at the Paris motor show next year. Estimations say that, if put into production, this all-electric BMW would cost the same as the Mini E.

New BMW Concept Electric Car with iPhone App?

P90054917 BMW already have an electric car in their stable, the Mini-E, which has begun trials with selected members of the public. Now BMW are adding to the fleet of electric vehicles with the BMW Concept ActiveE; an electric vehicle under the BMW brand. More specifically it is a 1 Series Coupé. The interesting thing and the reason why I am writing about this is that the press release mentions that there is mention of BMW’s ConnectedDrive services which allow a phone to connect to the vehicle to operate certain vehicle features and statuses:

“This includes specific remote functions which enable the use of a mobile phone to check the charge status of the battery, search for public charging stations and activate the vehicle’s auxiliary heating and air conditioning functions.”

While there is no mention of any brand of phone in particular, the press images do include some images which may be mock-ups of an iPhone application.

Some of the features which seem to be shown in the iPhone app images include: locate a charging station; schedule climate control; charge status and mileage remaining.

The vehicle itself is is said to give a maximum output of 170bhp and a maximum torque of 250Nm. 0-62mph is expected to be less than 9 seconds with top speed of 90mph (electronically limited) and range of up to 100 miles. If you have access to a 50amp connection, the car can be fully charged in as little as three hours.

Hopefully we will see some of these ConnectedDrive features from other manufacturers also without having to resort to third party add-ons in the near future.

The Headlong Pursuit of Growth, and Its Aftermath

The December 12-18, 2009 issues of The Economist features a couple of fascinating articles on Toyota Motor Corporation. According to The Economist, Toyota’s President  reached the following dire conclusion on the situation Toyota is facing:

Mr Toyoda’s alarm call last month appears partly to have been prompted by reading “How the Mighty Fall”, a book by Jim Collins, an American management writer, which identifies five stages of corporate decline. Mr Toyoda reckons that Toyota may already be at the fourth stage. Companies at this point, says Mr Collins, frequently still have their destinies in their own hands, but often flit from one supposed “silver bullet” strategy to another, thus accelerating towards the fate they are trying to avoid.

In the litany of things that went wrong, an interesting point is made about the Toyota Production System:

… the recalls continued and Toyota started slipping in consumer-quality surveys. A year later Consumer Reports, an influential magazine, dropped three Toyota models from its recommended list. The magazine added that it would “no longer recommend any new or redesigned Toyota-built models without reliability data on a specific design”. People within the company believe these quality problems were caused by the strain put on the fabled Toyota Production System by the headlong pursuit of growth.

Whatever Agile method you practice - Scrum, Lean, Kanban, Crystal, etc. – you need to be cognizant of three touch points with the Toyota experience reported above:

  • Just like the Toyota Production System, your software method is a “vehicle” which is subject to policy decisions from above. It cannot, however, compensate for policy failures.
  • If your company relentlessly pursues growth, the quality/technical debt liability it is likely to incur coud easily outweigh the benefits of growth. Consider the upside potential of growth vis-a-vis the downside of the resultant technical debt. When appropriate, monetize technical debt using the technique described in Technical Debt on Your Balance Sheet.
  • In addition to monetizing the technical debt, evaluate the various kinds of risks indicated in The View From The Executive Suite. A sense of how devastating those might be is given by Toyota’s own experience:

Just as Cadillac used to be synonymous with luxury and BMW with sportiness, Toyota was a byword for quality and reliability… The danger in all of this for Toyota is that its loyal (and mostly satisfied) customers in America have long believed that the firm was different from others and thus hold it to a higher standard. The moment that Toyota is seen as just another big carmaker, a vital part of the mystique that has surrounded the brand will have been rubbed away.

Please remember – unless you work for Toyota Motor Corporation, chances are your company would not be able to take the kind of risk Toyota can.

Auto Industry $17.4 Billion Bailout Gets More Attention Than Wall Street $700 Billion Bailout

I would have been satisfied with just the headline of this article. I have printed it out in various alternates just to give embodiment to what I wish for. I now have one for Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove and the rest of the “gang” that destroyed America in such a short time span. This is now the “American Dream”, since the previous one was taken from us.

“When Napster came on the scene, it felt like a big wave coming at us, and it appeared futile to try and stop it,” says Benji Rogers, founder of London-based Pledge Music. Rogers, who has been working as a musician for more than a decade, has spent much of his time building a company that aims to surpass the fan-funding models of SliceThePie, Sellaband and Bandstocks.  “We don't see the fans as venture capitalists, who are investing in our records,” he says. Instead, Rogers wants them to feel part of the process that gets a record into their hands.

Eastblished acts like Marillion, Public Enemy and Tina Dico (one of the first artists to use Pledge Music, raising £60k in just 30 days, have relied on their long-standing fanbase when leaving a major label to pursue their own direction. But can fan funding really work for artists who are just starting out? Rogers thinks so, but it takes time and effort. He says one of the mistakes record labels make is trying to squeeze a year-long development (with regards to marketing, promotion etc) into a couple of weeks. “When I started out, we collected addresses and phone numbers. Then we'd follow up by calling and sending letters to people on our mailing list. It was a lot more time-consuming and expensive than it is now.”

The first question Pledge asks when approached by an artist is how big is their mailing list. Based on that, they calculate how much money they can raise. Once they've worked it out, the Pledge team sits down with the artist to find out what they can add to the fans' experience to raise that money. The higher the amount a fan pledges, the more “extras” they get.

“£8 might seem expensive for an EP download, but when you add to it an eight-week campaign of updates, like video blogs from the studio, people don't mind,” says Rogers. In fact, American fans paid $50-70 for a T-shirt and signed CD, despite the asking price being much less. “We thought the credit card company had made a mistake, so we contacted them asking if they wanted more than one. They replied: “No, but if I have to, sure.” They just wanted to support us and help us reach the pledge amount.”

Rogers understands that some artists see the studio as an inner sanctum and don't want to show the recording process. Instead, he suggests other ideas to add value, such as sending fans handwritten lyric sheets, or letting them choose five songs for the artist to play at a soundcheck and sending them the recordings with a personal shout-out.

Pledge Music isn't interested in owning any of the rights to the music, and makes its money by charging a 15% commission on the amount raised. “It usually works out to be 9-11% in the end, since we cover credit card fees, processing and VAT,” says Rogers.

There are four corners to the Pledge concept: music, fans, recording studios (“if we bring them work, they'll bring us work”) and charities. The artists choose a charity they're passionate about and donate a percentage of the money raised to it.

On Tuesday morning, a pledge was launched for Irish artist Duke Special. That afternoon, he reached 43% of his target, by offering fans the opportunity to write a song with him for £100, and a private sightseeing tour of Belfast for £1,000.

“I believe, in their hearts, the fans want to do the right thing,” says Rogers. “We can't convince teenagers to buy CDs. The quest for me is to give meaning to it, so they don't want to steal it.”

Pledge Music is a fan-funded investment platform with a heart, which makes it a welcome alternative for artists who want to take control of their careers.

Button-down collar economists are not known for shouting matches, but on CNN, Stephen Leeb and Peter Schiff had at it regarding auto industry bailout loans.

Economist Stephen Leeb insisted that President George W. Bush, not exactly known as a liberal, is doing the right thing by extending $13.4 billion in auto industry bailout loans to General Motors and Chrysler, followed by another $4 billion in the spring.

Economist Peter Schiff insisted that the government “should let market forces play out,” with General Motors and Chrysler entering bankruptcy.

The shouting match between Leeb and Schiff almost entered into commercial time for CNN, but Leeb and Schiff represented a great divide among Americans.

Somehow, the combined $17.4 billion in President Bush's package is creating more attention and more debate than the overall $700 billion bailout for the financial firms on Wall Street, and the nearly equal $650 billion minimum that is estimated for income President-elect Barack Obama's economic stimulus package.

Somehow, the auto industry is getting more attention than the Wall Street industry.

Only half of all Americans can afford to invest directly in the stock market, and many of those do so indirectly through their companies' 401-k and/or Roth IRA retirement plans. Most Americans don't understand Wall Street, even while they are invested in Wall Street. Take witness in the $50 billion scam that is alleged under Bernard Madoff. Even so-called sophisticated investors were ripped off when they gave their money to Bernard Madoff. Everyone is still trying to explain.

On the other hand, virtually all Americans feel that they understand the auto industry. They simply compare General Motors and Chrysler and Ford, the Detroit-based companies, to Toyota and Honda and Nissan, the Japanese imports. A majority of Americans perceive that the imports are of higher quality, which way have been true 20 years ago, but perceptions linger.

Furthermore, the false stories of United Auto Workers members making $75 an hour have gained legs of their own. These stories are embraced by the same crowd that still perceives Barack Obama as the candidate of radical terrorist Muslims. The typical United Auto Workers wage is more like $20 to $25 an hour, but critics have figured in everything from health care coverage to pension benefits to retirees.

Republican senators such as Richard Shelby from Alabama and Bob Corker from Tenessee have supported tax breaks for Toyota and Honda and Nissan to establish non-union shops in their states. At the same time, they have blocked Congress from providing aid to General Motors and Chrysler. This forced President Bush to act on his own.

President Bush stated, “Such a collapse (by GM or Chrysler) would deal an unacceptable blow to all American workers, even beyond the auto industry.” President Bush is focused on the total economy, and he is being realistic. President Bush figures that if Wall Street needs a $700 billion bailout, then protection of auto industry jobs is worth a $17.4 billion share.

Mitsubishi in Germany

Mitsubishi Colt on the foreground. A building partially blocks the view of the Berlin TV Tower

Along Unter den Linden in Berlin

Mercedes-Benz. BMW. Volkswagen.

I’ve associated Germany with cars long before I visited that country.

That was why when I saw a Mitsubishi near our hotel in Berlin, I couldn’t help but ask myself what that car was doing in the heart of the German capital.

I have nothing against Mitsubishis, I see lots of them in the Philippines.

But the Philippines is not Germany.

The sight of a Mitsubishi in the Land of Benzes and BMWs caught me by surprise.

I thought I would see only German cars in Germany itself.

ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS!!!

Did you know that businesses benefit from the ability to expense the cost of certain vehicles in the first year of purchase?

That’s right, you your business may be able to combine some of the hottest incentives in the automotive industry and accelerated tax deductions for an opportunity to purchase eligible 2009 and 2010 model year Armadas, Pathfinders, and Titans.

With the IRS Section 179 expense allowance a business owner may be able to deduct the actual cost of new business vehicles weighing more than 6,000 lbs. GVWR in the year of purchase.  Section 179 limits the expense of $25,000 for eligible Armadas, Pathfinders and Titans with beds 6 feet or shorter.  Titan pickups with beds longer than 6 feet in 2009 can deduct the full cost of the vehicle in the first year.  Additionally, the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 increased the depreciation deduction to 50% if the remaining investment (if any) for these vehicles.  In order to qualify, the vehicle must (among other requirements) be used for business purposes 50% of the time.  In contract, a car, truck, or SUV used by a business but weighing 6,000 lbs. or less normally does not qualify for the section 179 expense allowance and will typically be limited to normal depreciation.  In 2009 this will be a maximum amount of $3,060 plus an additional $8,000 as a result of The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008.

Eligible Vehicles 6,000 lb. GVWR or Higher         IRS Section 179 Expense Allowance
2009/2010 Nissan Pathfinder S/SE/LE/LE V8 4×4                 $25,000

Recap in English issue no. 28 headlines

Right, boys ‘n’ girls, here’s a recap on some of the stuff what you missed out in issue 28, if you’re not into German language:

- Contrary to what Diário AS says, Robert Kubica’s contract (and those of 99% of the drivers) with Renault starts on 1st of January. There’s no “drop-out clause”! If Renault leave F1, he most likely will be able to chose to either insist on the contract being fulfilled by whoever takes over… or drop out. In that case: Mercedes here come;

- Same for Nick Heidfeld, he’s got a valid contract with BMW. Is more likely that he will want to see that fulfilled by Sauber, than accepting a one-year-deal with Mercedes GP;

- According to our sources Jacques Villeneuve and Jarno Trulli to be anounced by Lotus F1 soon;

- Piquet’s out of the running at Campos, Maldonado and Petrov are top choice. Soucek is a possibility;

- Petrov is also high on the list at Sauber alongside Heidfeld, also Trulli, Fisichella, de la Rosa and Klien;

- Despite MercedesGP having ruled out negotiations with Schumacher, rumour’s he might still have a stab at a comeback. And there might be a real surprise as far as that is concerned. Watch out for the next issue.

P.S. Just to rub it in: NOW Kimi Räikkönen’s management has confirmed towards Finish daily paper Turun Sanomat what P1Mag reported 3 weeks ago. YES, there was – and still is – an offer from Mercedes Grand Prix ! ! !

We’ve had the clown shoe on here before, as well as the Z4 M coupay (a number of times), but never the roadster.

Now’s the time.

At the end of the day, we like the Z4 M Coupe over the Z3 M Coupe, but prefer the Z3 M Roadster over the Z4 M Roadster. We think it looks really, really good here.

BMW to sell F1 team back to Sauber

Peter Sauber

BMW have announced on friday that they have reached an agreement with Peter Sauber regarding the sale of the BMW Sauber F1 team. However, the sale is subject to the team being granted a slot for the 2010 season. This means that the planned sale to Qadbak Investment Ltd. will not be completed.

As part of the agreement, personnel will be cut from 388 to 250 employees. Also, because of the restructuring of the team, further redundancies cannot be ruled out in the future.

BMW had previously bought the team from Sauber in 2005, who had founded the team in 1993.

“I am very relieved that we have found this solution,” said Peter Sauber. “It means we can keep the Hinwil location and the majority of workplaces. I am convinced that the new team has a very good future in Formula One, whose current transformation with new framework conditions will benefit the private teams. Our staff here are highly competent and motivated, and I look forward to taking on this new challenge together with them. I would like to thank BMW for four shared years that have in the main been very successful.”

Dr Klaus Draeger, member of the board of management of BMW AG with responsibility for development, added: “We are very happy with this solution. This fulfils the most important requirement for a successful future for the team. Our relationship with Peter Sauber has always been excellent and marked by absolute respect. We would like to express our thanks to Peter Sauber and the whole team for the excellent cooperation during the recent four years.”

R-rated Brit Cat

There is something wrong with Jaguar. I can’t point out exactly what, but I can explain it by an example. See, you meet a girl when you were eighteen. She is all very pretty and perky. But thirty years later, when you meet the same girl, now an old woman, she has become the queen of gone horribly wrong aging. What will be actually going on in your mind at that point … “Ah, all those rumors of her about hard drinking and snorting the white powder were true after all!”

Scary Aging

Scary Aging

The same is with jaguar. Jaguar used to be the epitome of British beauties. The everlasting prettiness of a Jaguar E-type sitting on your front porch for an example. But then she decided to go communist, gained some extra pounds and developed affection for quick money from retired dentists in Florida. Instead of becoming a cougar she became an ugly dying camel.

Dental Wagon -Ugly Duckling of British Motoring.

Dental Wagon - Ugly Duckling of British Motoring.

Now, Ian Callum and his professed love towards Jaguar, is trying to save her family reputation. I cannot discount Callum as just another car designer. He is a visionary, a genius, an artist. But somehow, all his hard work does not feel right. In my dream world if Callum had designed the new S class, it would have been a huge success. In the real world though, he is designing the new luxury barge from Jaguar called the XJ. It is all good looking and futuristic and a break away from the bad aging. Even then, it doesn’t help Jaguar a little bit.

Future is a bit too late!

Future is a bit too late!

The old pictures of an ugly Jaguar are still very vivid in people’s minds. So are the scary stories of doors coming off and engine refusing to budge to your desperate attempt at turning the keys. It all feels like, a brilliant plastic surgeon trying to hide away all those crow feet and wrinkles under a thin layer of aluminum shell. Nobody and their accounts manager will be willing to put that kind of cash into an expensive car like the XJ, especially if you look at the fact that it is from a company with the worst financial history.

Flowing Red Dress.

Flowing Red Dress.

The other brilliant car from jaguar, the XFR is also in no good shape to rescue the company. First of all I will break the news about what is utmost wrong about the XFR. The car has electrical issues. There, I have said it. If you are paying truck load of cash for a car like this, you expect things to be all working perfectly well. That is not with the XFR. It is not that fumes come out of the dash board, but there is a little bit of histrionics on the Jags part. I don’t see it as normal behavior, even in a discounted people carrier. It is annoying, and very well disappointing. All those theatrical effects of the flipping air con vents and the throbbing red starter switch all feels like they are all conspiring as to when to have a mass strike on the factory floor. It disheartened my spirit a lot. Though the dealers were very kind and apologetic, and told me they have fixed the issue, it still nags my mind. Why, did Jaguar engineers spoil the plastic surgery and face lifting party with a loose connection. It just is impossible to explain. A good company like the Mercedes lost its entire market share because of shoddy electricals installed to save cost. So why would Jaguar too repeat the same mistake? Was there an old saying too, which goes on like this “Learn from others mistakes”?

Pretty as a little red dress

Brilliant in Red!

As pretty as a flowing red dress!

As pretty as a flowing red dress!

Then there is the XFR performance. Again I have to say this is a brilliant looking car. But it should have come out ten years before. Now, the BMW M5 has made all other performance sedans look like redundant experiments. There is no point in buying an XFR. It is cheaper than an M5, but again it is slower than an M5. The handling is brilliant, but not as brilliant as a BMW. The interiors of the Jag are well appointed and make you feel like you are in your childhood dream, but the BMW is a geek heaven. The suspension is never harsh on you on the XFR, so is the BMW- at least to an extent. I don’t see any compelling reason not to buy a M5 instead of an XFR. Yes the M5 is slightly odd looking, but so is the cheap looking grill on that XFR. Where did that mesh grill come from, the eighties? And, you know what, the Jag is not an indication of sophistication either. The communist period at the Jag, destroyed its reputation as a symbol of British tight upper lip. Now, driving a Jag only means, you have weird fetish towards all things dental. Jaguar has no place in this modern world dominated by the German behemoths and the Japanese slush wagons called the Lax-us. The Jaguar has a secret weapon though. And nobody cares about it.

Well appointed but histrionic.

Well appointed but histrionic.

Even the company is late in recognizing its potential. If you take a closer look at the XFR, you will be amazed by the difference. Though performance wise the Brit cat is a bit behind the curve as compared to an M5, it is the best car to own and use it on a daily basis as a high performance sedan. Do you know why? It is because; it is by far the most fuel efficient high performance sedan ever. It falls into a lower tax bracket, due to its lower emissions. On the road, at stop and go traffic, it feels much more comfortable than the M5 too. Also, the nosy pretentious Prius driving neighbor of yours will never get to know, you are driving an R version of the Jag. This is because there are minimal visual cues separating it from its slower siblings. The car has minimal branding of the R badge unlike the M5. If you are like me, a big fan of the badge delete program, then you will love the Jag. Take off that R lettering, and only an auto geek can spot you as a R driving enthusiast. For all other Jack, Dick and Sally it is just the run off the mill XF.

Supercharged Brit cat musical!

Supercharged Brit cat musical!

But, nobody, I mean nobody in this world, wants not to be ostentatious. If you have a Bentley, you will take it to the busiest street in the world. This means, you will have to suffer the bumps on that 20 inch low profile rollers, you will scrub the front bumper against the kerb, the ten year old hawker who doesn’t know what a Bentley is: draws a nice picture of your wife’s bottom on the silver chrome body work using the one rupee coin that you threw at him, you will stop the entire traffic of the city because you have to scold your brilliant and patient driver who is putting up with your stupidity of driving a huge arse Bentley on a crowded single lane.

Bavarian over engineering marvel.

Bavarian over engineering marvel.

Cat from Coventry.

Cat from Coventry.

The sad reality is, no matter how much prettier the XFR is than the M5, how much better it feels to drive on a busy street than the M5, it will never be a legend as the M5. It will be remembered in a few corners of the world as a car that also ran for the laurels of the best high performance sedan. People will remember only vaguely, like the Lancia Stratos. This Brit cat does have a few good points in its favor, but it is way too little to be rescued by them. The Jaguar also knows very well of this sad situation. The present economy is also not helping things very much for the British legend. The car is an understated performance monster. But the time that we live in, we need everything loud and bling. The recession has not taught anybody any lesson. The only lesson that the recession has taught if at all is, even if you are poor and your business is nose diving into the cesspool of brown, smelly things, your wife and your children are unwilling to compromise on the lifestyles that they are used to. They will leave you, if you give a bit of a hint about going bankrupt, allowing you to look at an even more expensive lawyer bill. And Sadly the Jag is never part of that lifestyle.

Fun in motion.

Fun in motion.

Verdict: If the XFR was a new Mercedes, people would have been ready to forgive the stupidity of Daimler. It is that good.

Forget!

Forget!

Luxury car sales in India pick up pace

At a time when major car manufacturers in the country are working on low cost cars, the expensive luxury vehicles, priced over Rs 15 lakh and going up to Rs 50 lakh and including sport utility vehicles and luxury sedans, are catching the fancy of car enthusiasts in India. So much is the demand that new products are overselling and the numbers have far exceeded the earlier estimates signaling a huge growth potential in the segment in India. This comes at a time when the once traditional markets, the US and Europe, for bigger and luxury cars, are fast moving towards small and fuel efficient vehicles. For instance, BMW India has sold 63 units of X6 since its launch in July and another six units of Z4 in October and these new products are helping the company exceed its earlier set target of 3,000 units in India in 2009 against 2,908 units in 2008. In no other emerging market, BMW has taken leadership position in such a short time and this comes on the back of strong product line up, market expansion andbrand building, Abhay Dange, spokesperson, BMW India, said. While tese are the high-end luxury cars priced around Rs 50 lakh, the demand for cars in the lower end of the segment like the Volkswagen Passat (around Rs 24 lakh), Toyota Fortuner (around Rs 20 lakh) and Honda CR-V (around Rs 22 lakh) is also reaching the levels that were beyond expectations. Toyota Fortuner, which was launched in August, saw a backlog of 3,100 units that were to be delivered in seven months as Toyota Kirloskar Motor could assemble 550 Fortuners a month. Volkswagen India may end up selling more Passats as against earlier target of 1,000 units.

DOUCHEMOBILE GETS A POWER UPGRADE, BUT, IT STILL CAN’T OUTRUN UGLY!

The new BMW WTF or X6 M, as they would probably prefer it to be called, has been upgraded. No. Not made over, upgraded.

The UberDouche Coupe M now has had its power boosted by 42 horses in the twin-turbo xDrive50i model. It even comes with a “special” body kit and rolls on twenties.

Oh yeah. You get extra badges that say “M” everywhere too.

So, there you have it. It’s faster. It’s heavier. It’s more expensive.

The only thing it isn’t?

It aint able to outrun ugly.

Tuning: LUMMA CLS 730 RS Package for the BMW M5 E60 with G-POWER 730hp Bi-Supercharger System

A German tuner Lumma Design has released a new performance tuning package for the BMW M5 E60 that also included G-Power upgrade kit to the M-badged version of the BMW 5-series.

As result a car that uses all 730 horsepower of a bi-compressor V10 to spread a limit speed of over 367 km/h (228 mph). The 700 Nm of torque helps the car go 0-100 km/h time in 4.2 seconds, feat 200 km/h in just ten seconds. 300 km/h is achieved in 29.5 seconds.

Read more (details and photos)!!
The companies petition this is the “most energetic engine” ever seen on a “highway-lawful BMW.” It is surely an enormous development over Lumma’s CLR 500 RS released in 2007. That car saw a “measly” 560 horsepower.

Lumma Design’s own six-piston front, four-piston rear caliper brakes are worn along with drilled 405mm discs. Ultralight, three-portion pretend 10×21 and 12Jx21 wheels at the nose and tail look great on the 45mm lowered car.

The style package includes carbon fiber boot and bonnet, and the matter is also worn for the door handles, admission sills, fenders, and mirror caps. Designers also replaced the exhaust system. Inside, carbon integrity, leather, and suede is worn gratuitously. Hopefully, the paint scheme selected inside is customizable, as something more faint than the contrasting red, fair, dusk grey would probably feel more appropriate.

The 2009 Season Review - Part Three

Continued from Part Two

Raikkonen did give Ferrari a win, at Spa, after fending off…Fisichella! On that occasion, however, the Italian was still with Force India, whose Mercedes-powered car showed remarkable form on circuits where low downforce was required. Adrian Sutil proved very fast but wild and accident prone in the other car, but only Raikkonen’s KERS prevented Fisichella from staging a huge upset victory in Belgium. Fisi’s replacement, the underrated Vitantonio Liuzzi, was headed for a podium finish behind the Brawns at Monza when his car broke a driveshaft.

It was also at Spa that yet another scandal was unveiled. In Hungary Renault had been lucky to escape suspension when, only a week after former world champion John Surtees’ 19 year-old son Henry had been killed by an errant wheel in a Formula Two race at Brands Hatch, the French team’s pit crew released Fernando Alonso from a pit stop knowing that the right front wheel had been improperly secured. It came off, and the stewards of the meeting fined them the maximum possible, US$50,000, and suspended them from Valencia.

Renault won their appeal against exclusion, but soon it became clear that they were being investigated for fixing the result of the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix following allegations from former driver Nelson Piquet, sacked in July, that he had been told to crash deliberately there to give Alonso the safety car intervention that helped him through to victory. Subsequently, team principal Flavio Briatore was banned indefinitely from the sport, and technical chief Pat Symonds for five years.

Meanwhile, as Renault struggled on and off the track, Toyota’s performances picked up after a mid-season slump. Timo Glock was an excellent second to Hamilton in Singapore, a result that Jarno Trulli repeated on their home ground at Suzuka. That left them fifth overall, which was respectable, while a late-season charge from BMW Sauber, who had introduced a significant aerodynamic and technical upgrade for Singapore, benefited from a second place by Kubica in Brazil and Nick Heidfeld’s fifth in Abu Dhabi to jump ahead of Williams by one and a half points into sixth. The British team had its most consistent season of late, showing well on all but the low-downforce tracks, and would have gone better still had the Toyota engine had competitive horsepower.

Renault were a humbled eighth after one of their toughest-ever seasons yielded just one podium for Alonso, ironically enough in Singapore. Force India might have finished only ninth, but they showed they have the potential to run at or near the front, but Toro Rosso, in 10th overall, showed only flashes of speed with their Red Bull RB5 lookalike STR4. Sebastien Buemi looked good at times, while rookie Jamie Alguersuari replaced Sebastian Bourdais from Hungary onwards.

When Glock crashed in Japan in what would become history’s longest-ever qualifying session, he was subsequently replaced for the final two races by GP2 driver Kamui Kobayashi, who did enough with a ninth and a sixth place finish to make himself unofficial ‘Rookie of the Year’ ahead of Buemi. There were suspicions all along that he had been placed in Glock’s seat by a team that knew they were on borrowed time, and shortly after Bridgestone had announced after Abu Dhabi that they were quitting at the end of 2010, Toyota duly said they were going too, as of now. Like Honda and BMW, they blamed the economic climate and made compelling arguments why they had to stop spending so much on Formula One racing.

That in theory could clear the way for Peter Sauber and his new partner Qadbak to join the four new teams who are due to assemble on the grid in 2010: Lotus, US F1 Team, Manor and Campos Meta.

As yet some key driver placements have yet to be settled, notably whether Button stays with Brawn, and where, if anywhere, Raikkonen goes. The odds favour the second McLaren seat, but you never know with the Finn. With Red Bull staying the same, Alonso at Ferrari alongside Massa, Nico Rosberg and Barrichello being tipped to swap places (the latter is already confirmed at Williams), and Glock reportedly heading to Renault to join Kubica, the new season is already shaping up fast.

And based on what happened in 2009, it is safe to suggest that in the new era of Jean Todt succeeding Max Mosley as President of the FIA after a landslide victory against Ari Vatanen, and refuelling being banned, anything is possible.

Side Tracked

Last Friday, my buddy Colin called me to tell me he finished his 1974 BMW R75/6, so of course Mike and I raced (literally) over to his house to check it out. This thing is awesome, and sounds good too. Yes, that is an 8 gallon Heinrich tank. All tits and no ass. The fairing in the picture is unmounted. He still has a few things to work out on, but it’s a runner. After the break in on the motor, he’s touring up the coast. I’m jealous. I wanna go up the coast. Ride on Mangold!

Nothing new to post on the CB175. Still sourcing parts. I hope to have something for this weekend.

My Life is Like a Bad Sit-com!!!

Because I live in ditzy-girl-world, I allowed my car to run out of coolant, thus it overheated. I was in such a rush to get where I was going, that I didn’t realize my car was over heating until my car was surrounded by a cloud of black smoke!!! I’m talking about so much smoke that it looked like it was about to blow up! So of course I blew the head gasket, and of course I drive a BMW, so what would’ve been an $800 job, turned out to be an $1800 job!

Then after that situation was resolved, moving day came, the movers quoted me $350, and once everything was done, they said it would be $550!!! Sorry guys, that’s $200 you won’t be receiving!!! You know they tried to argue me down for like an hour, but in the end, I was able to jew em down!

Then, I went to a Halloween party, and the girl from Friends Part II (who wasn’t speaking to me, and sometimes doesn’t speak to our mutual friends because they’re speaking to me…lol) was in attendance, and speaking to me as if nothing happened! She was the quintessential life of the party, so much so that she was getting on everyone’s nerves! There was not one person there that she didn’t have a full conversation with! I’m telling ya’ll, the girl was acting as if it were HER party! She even went up to my boyfriend and jokingly told him if he didn’t participate in the party that she would “never speak to him again” at which point I heard someone yell out “Uh, I don’t think he cares!” All night long, all I could think was “this girl is seriously a schizo”! She even found it necessary to narrate the party to us; if something was going on in another room, she would come back into the room that her (former) friends were in, and tell us all about what we had missed!!!! I had never seen this side of her, she was acting so corny, and childish, I was kinda happy that she dumped me, because I had mistakenly befriended a lame!!!!

Not to mention, I am 75% sure that the reason she has stopped speaking to me is because her boyfriend won’t allow her to! (And that’s so LAAAAAAME!!! (Jay-z voice)) He doesn’t like me because he knows that I know for 100% FACT that he has cheated on her on multiple occasions, and he’s afraid that I will one day share my information with her, which I never have…until now, so if she’s reading this blog…”you dumped a good friend for a cheating ass, lame ass boyfriend. You deserve whatever you get fake bitch!”

And do you know that on Monday when I saw her, she didn’t speak to me again, after she was ALL IN MY FACE on Sunday?!?!?!?!? “C’mon Son!” (check out on you tube Ed Lover’s skits called “C’mon Son“—sooo funny!)

I ain’t got time for the 50/50, that why I KEEPS IT 100 BIYOCHES!!!! xoxo

Lexus Forecast: More Power for 2007

jerseys,
discount nfl jerseys

If you took a quick guess as to which car is faster, what would you say – the $44,000 Lexus GS300, or the $34,000 ES350? If you guessed the GS, you would be wrong. The ES is more powerful and quicker in acceleration, an awkward fact that can make Lexus dealers nervous, especially with the GS' more sporty character. This situation is due to the unusually early introduction of the 2007 ES model, which was well ahead of the GS and giving us a glimpse of the power upgrades in store.

Starting with the GS, expect the base 3.0L 6-cylinder engine to be replaced with 3.5L unit that's already in the ES350 and GS450h, bumping horsepower from 245 to 272. Expect the 4.3L 8-cylinder engine to be replaced by the 4.6L unit, upgrading horsepower from 300 to 380. This should effectively move the sedan from 0-60 mph in the low 5 seconds, more closely matching its German rivals. It will be interesting to see if Lexus will offer another hybrid in the GS line. So far, Toyota and Lexus have resisted offering multiple hybrid powertrains for the same model, but a GS550h using the 4.6L 8-cylinder can slot nicely between the 6-cylinder GS450h and the flagship LS600h. The GS300 will be renamed to GS350, and GS430 to GS460.

As previously noted, the 272 hp 2007 ES350 has already been introduced, replacing the 225 hp ES330. This is essentially the same 3.5 liter unit being proliferated throughout Toyota's lineup, but due to octane optimization, generates slightly more power than its Toyota counterparts. A hybrid version, if offered, would be called ES450h with virtually identical specs as the current GS450h, generating 340 total-system hp. It could also signal a similar powertrain offering for Toyota's Camry, which shares the same platform as the ES, and is currently offered only in 4-cylinder hybrid form.

The 2007 RX350, also introduced ahead of schedule, replaces the RX330. Similar to the ES, horsepower moves from 225 to 270. Expect a similar change on the 3.3L RX400h, which goes from 268 total system hp to 340 and renamed to RX450h.

The SC430 and LS430 will follow the same upgrade as the GS430, but to establish its flagship status, the LS hybrid version will get an exclusive 5.0L 8-cylinder unit that will generate at least 410 hp. The LS430 will be renamed LS460 and the 5.0L hybrid LS600h. The LS will have the world's first eight-speed automatic transmission, and it is unclear if and when this will be shared with other models.

It is doubtful the IS, introduced last year, will have any powertrain upgrades for 2007. As for the GX and LX trucks, they are certainly due for an upgrade, but truck engines typically lag in advanced technology than its passenger-car counterparts. For example, Toyota's variable valve timing wasn't introduced on 8-cylinder trucks until model year 2005, although it was available on its passenger cars seven years earlier.

A Burst of News - Lexus LFA supercar revealed, new BMW 5-series spied, next-gen Mitsubishi Evo will be a hybrid, and more

Time for another burst of automotive news, everyone!

Our top story of this installment: after years and years and YEARS of teasing, Toyota has finally unveiled Lexus’s first supercar. Called the LFA, the supercar is a clean-sheet design with a front-mounted 4.8-liter V10 that spits out 552 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. With the help of a six-speed sequential manual gearbox, Toyota claims the car dashes from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds before topping out at 202 miles per hour.

If it sounds to you like the LFA will line up pretty squarely against the Ferrari 458 Italia, congratulations, you know enough about sports cars to make up for your Archie comics collection. However, there’s a catch – the Ferrari is significantly cheaper than Toyota’s latest ride. (And there’s a sentence I never thought I’d write.)

Yes, the LFA can be yours for not a Benjamin less than $375,000 – at least $100,000 than the 458 will likely cost here in the States. And while the Lexus is pretty cool, it’s hard to imagine many rich car enthusiasts would pick the uglier, more expensive LFA over the latest addition to Ferrari’s stable. Of course, most of them won’t have to – in this price range, if you can buy one, you can probably buy both.

But Toyota isn’t the only Japanese manufacturer with big performance news. According to AutoCar, the next-generation Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will be powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain similar to that of the company’s PX-MiEV concept from this year’s Tokyo Motor Show. The PX-MiEV, which sounds like a bad hand of Scrabble, has two electric motors powering all four wheels;  a 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine pulls double-duty, both generating power for the battery and powering the front driveshaft.

The PX-MiEV. Not the Evo XI, thank God.

Now, we here at CCO aren’t quite sure how Mitsubishi intends to pull this off. Even if they can drastically cut the Evo’s weight (which would be difficult to do while adding all the new tech), the car will still need at least 250 horsepower in order to maintain its performance credentials. But that’s 250 horsepower all the time. Not, 250 horsepower until the battery runs out of initial charge, then 100 horsepower while the gas motor recharges it. Then again, the next-gen Evo isn’t due until 2013, so they have time to sort it out.

Speaking of potentially stupid ideas, Porsche recently announced they would be willing to share both the Panamera and, more frighteningly, the 911 architecture with their new corporate masters, the Volkswagen Group. We’re not sure if this is Volkswagen exacting punishment for Porsche’s earlier attempt to conquer the VW Group (super-short refresher: Porsche AG tried to take over the VW group in 2007, but it fell through – so the VW group proceeded to take over Porsche, instead), but using the 911 platform for anything other than Porsche 911s just seems blasphemous.

Of course, it’s unlikely VW will ever use the 911’s underpinnings for anything else, since the demand for rear-engined sports cars is pretty slim. Porsche has only managed to perfect the form after 40-plus years of refinement; if it weren’t for the 911’s immense heritage, they likely would have dumped the car in favor of a bigger version of the mid-engined Boxster years ago. (That said, don’t be surprised to see the next-gen Boxster/Cayman sharing a platform with Audi’s R4 roadster…)

In other German car news, prototypes of BMW’s next-generation 5-series have been spotted prowling around Deutschland. Clad in BMW’s groovy camouflage designed to confuse camera lenses and attract aging hippies, the new 5 looks to us like a cross between the new 7-series and the most recent 3-series – which is probably what they were aiming for. Once the acid trip stickers wear off (hah!), expect a more conventionally attractive sedan than the current 5.

Courtesy Autowereld.com

Expect the same inline six-cylinder engines from today’s lineup, but the 360-hp V8 of the current BMW 550i will be supplanted with the oh-so-sweet turbocharged 4.4-liter, 400-hp V8 from the 750i and X6. Rumor has it the next M5 will come with a similar turbocharged V8 pumping out around 550 horsepower, connected to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox – and the line for that sonofabitch forms behind me, so stop cutting.

On the complete other end of the performance spectrum, Nissan pulled the wraps off the production version of their Leaf electric car last week at the Tokyo Auto Show. To dust off the old SAT-style analogy format, Leaf:Nissan::Volt:General Motors, and if you can’t figure that out, well, you probably shouldn’t be reading “College” Cars Online.

Nissan claims the Leaf offers all the convenience and range necessary to wean the majority of automobile users (at least those in First-World Countries – sorry, anybody who’s name ends in -stan) off the internal combustion engine. With a 100-mile range, 107 horsepower, a top speed of 87 mph and a pricetag of around $25,000, we’ll probably be seeing quite a few Leafs (Leaves?) on our roads soon.

Nissan claims recharging on a 200V outlet takes 8 hours, which is all kinds of helpful, considering pretty much every electrical appliance in the U.S. operates on either a 120V or 240V circuit. Figure around 8 hours on a heavy-duty 240V outlet, whereas if you’re plugging into the same 120V outlet your iPhone uses, you might as well just walk wherever you’re going.

I don’t really have any creative segue for this next story, since it sort of goes directly in opposition to the point of this site, so let’s just dive right in and avoid this awkward moment. According to the omnipresent J.D. Power and Associates, Generation Y doesn’t care as much about automobiles as they used to. After the Big Brother-ish group tracked thousands of conversations on Facebook and Twitter over an eight-month period (um, creepy), they determined teens and “early careerists” – 12-to-18-year-olds and  22-to-29-year-olds, respectively, because college students don’t matter – showed “shifts in perception regarding the necessity of and desire to have cars.”

The Power Co. goes on to posit that either the recession has left America’s youth with less cash to spend on cars, or that social media has replaced face-to-face interaction to such a degree we no longer feel the need to meet up in person as much. If number two is correct, then God help us all.

On a completely unrelated note, be sure to follow us on Twitter, @collegecars! Also, become a fan of us on Facebook!

However, the survey does go on to point out the two most popular automotive topics on social media during that time were NASCAR and “Transformers: Rise Of The Fallen.” Please excuse me while I slam my head into a brick wall.

Optimus Prime never saw a dance-off he couldn't win.

Finally, a moment of silence, please, for the passing of a legend. Land Rover has announced that after six decades on the market, the Defender will be retired in 2013. While the Defender proved itself capable of conquering the worst nature could throw at it, there was one foe it proved unable to defeat: government regulations.

Thanks to new European emissions and pedestrian-safety regulations, an all-new or heavily revised replacement will be required for the aging yet capable SUV. While the Defender hasn’t been sold in the U.S. for quite some time, your editor will always have fond memories of clambering up a seemingly impassible trail in the Vermont woods in a Defender 90.

However, Land Rover claims the replacement will be more versatile and more practical. If that means it’ll be just as capable and can come back to the States, well – the king is dead, long live the king!

Key Mercedes supporter linked with Brawn

According to a rumour in the paddock of the DTM series finale in Hockenheim last weekend, Brawn could be set to benefit from more than just an intensified relationship with Mercedes-Benz in the future.

It is believed that as part of a closer Brawn/Mercedes collaboration could be the transfer of McLaren’s oil sponsor Mobil 1.

The rumour would tie into whispers that McLaren, as well as teams including Williams, have for some time been in talks with Petronas, the Malaysian state oil company.

Petronas is known to want to stay in F1 next year, but the future of its current partner BMW Sauber is currently uncertain.
In other sponsor news, Altran intends to continue its technology partnership with Renault. “It is important in a partnership to affirm full support,” Pascal Brier, Altran’s communications and strategy chief, is quoted as saying in the French press.

Mr. Chips Goes Missing

She looked like a Death Cab for Cutie song. She had those eyes that someone gets when they think too seriously about life. Knows it’s not good for her, but does it anyway. Beautiful, in a tragic way. It can’t always be Fear and Loathing and Madness. Sometimes there are also words like Truth and Beauty and Love that need to come into play. They told us to be well rounded when we were young; I’m just starting to understand what they meant. I read it on her face.

We got drunk and played ping pong, and I smiled when she beat me. She looked quite cute with her competitive scowl. I told her about it months later as we laid in bed, she punched me in the arm for letting her win. I laughed and made her pancakes, she smiled with her eyes at me as she ate them, still wearing that competitive scowl.

We took Mr. Chips for a walk in the rich neighborhood next to ours. He pissed on a BMW and we smiled like proud parents. She grabbed my hand like she used to do, back when we were new. I looked at her and wished I loved her like her face loved up at me. I held hand tightly, comfortable now, but not really excited anymore.

She makes fun of my Chucks, telling me that I should grow up, wear grown up shoes. I make fun of her coloring books, the ones she pretends to keep around for her sister’s kids. She doesn’t understand why I like hip hop. I think her hippie music is silly. We both love Bob Dylan, but in completely different ways. She says she doesn’t really understand where my writing comes from, but she thinks it’s beautiful anyway. I tell her she’s the best associate director of photography that this city has ever known. And I meant it. She’s beautiful when she sleeps, a peaceful smile and a quiet existence. Maybe this is love.

Which was why it was such a shock to come home one day to find her engagement ring on the table, on top of a note that just said, “Sorry.” She left her ring and took Mr. Chips with her. Well played Cutie, I always loved that dog more than you.

Mr. Chips

BMW 320d

The luxury executive compact is almost ubiquitous today. At every junction and street corner you will see either an A4, C Class or a 3 Series with drivers from all sorts of backgrounds. It’s no longer the domain of executives but it still remains the hallmark of knowing that you have arrived, that you can now enjoy the finer things in life. Buying one new can still leave a dent in the bank account, especially for a fully optioned one but due to the aforementioned ubiquity, this can work well for you in the used market. As a used buy, things start to make more sense as you factor in the depreciation suffered by the first owner.

With the increasing popularity of diesel cars in Australia, the Germans are increasingly bringing in more options to the table. In Europe, diesel sales account for 80% of the market. This makes sense as diesel is actually cheaper than petrol (as it should be since it costs less to distil than petrol), but here in Australia, due to the higher cost of diesel, the economy advantage of the diesel might not make as much sense here.

Diesels are also noisier and smellier. But by gosh the torque they produce can be surprising to those not familiar with it. Suddenly the clickaty-clack of the diesel engine begins to fade away and you smile every time you think about the shove you’re getting while still being more economical than a comparable petrol powered car. The advancement of the diesel engine and turbo technology has made the refinement acceptable to most. In fact, at a constant highway speed, the diesel can actually be quieter than the petrol car due to the lower revs needed. So will the petrol car go the way of the dinosaur?

Although diesels have made strong headway in the last decade or so, engineers have not completely forgotten about the petrol engine. If you compare the official consumption figures of a 320i (8l/100km) against the 320d (6.7l/100km), the gap is actually not that wide. The 320i 4 cylinder engine is a gem of an engine, the refinement levels are high and you’d be hard press to tell that it’s not a 4 cylinder. You get the mid-range torque in the diesel, but you get the instant response of the petrol as well as a wider rev range. The difference lies in the turbo delivery of the diesel engine. Diesel engines rely on turbo chargers to boost the inherently less powerful nature of diesel. However, with the added turbo charger, you get the increased complexity come repair time. Also, servicing costs more on a comparable diesel car.

With the 320i being plentiful on the market, you’ll likely find a low mileage, one owner car with full log book maintenance for a surprisingly low outlay. Unless you really need the mid-range torque of the 320d and cover high mileages per year, go for the petrol and you’d save on the running costs as well enjoy the petrol refinement. Also, don’t forget to compare the Touring. It has the practicality of a wagon body while at the same time being less common than the sedan. You will not be able to tell from behind the wheel that there’s a great big cargo space behind. If you prefer a sedan, try a Lexus IS250 before deciding. You get true V6 refinement while getting more equipment than the BMW. Don’t forget the Japanese are the kings of reliability and what that means as an owner.

BMW Concept X1 crossover SUV unveiled before Paris Motor Show

Judging by its looks, the new BMW Concept X1 entry-level crossover SUV will go to the production line almost unchanged, being in line with all new models recently introduced by the Bavarian company. I mean, it will look like it was drawn by an Elbonian design school failure.

We still have on what kind of engines and gearboxes will be available with this product of interbreeding between the 2008 BMW 1-Series and the BMW X3 crossover.
However, it’s pretty much safe to assume that the small car-based SUV will be available with a wide range of both diesel and gasoline engines and will feature BMW’s own xDrive all-wheel drive system (although, there is a good chance that the company will also sell a more fuel-efficient and cheaper RWD version).

englisch | BMW 5 Series Gran Tourismo - The comfortable way to travel

It was expected that BMW after the success of the X6 would start with hermaphrodites. In Lisbon, the new 5-GT was presented. This will set new standards in the luxury middle class. One has been done in any case already. The GT stands for Gran Tourismo, and despite of the very polarizing designs this BMW has the right stuff to become a giant.

When I arrived at the airport in Lisbon, my eye caught quickly the new field at the BMW league. An avid BMW employee literally snatches the baggage out of the hands and stowed it in the maw of the generous trunk space. The silhouette of this Bavarian at the first glance does not look like a Womanizer on four wheels, rather like the pimply little brother of the X6…

The first look: Interesting….

The outer shell of the BMW 5 Series BMW Gran Tourismo combines typical proportions – a streamlined silhouette, a coupe-like roof line, and four doors with frameless windows – an interesting unit. With a length of five meters and a width of 1.90 meters the Gran Tourismo is anything but dainty. It has a considerable body height of 1.56 meters. With these very impressive dimensions and the long wheelbase BMW placed the GT directly between 5 Series and 7 Series.

“Believe me, you have to let this car work on you” am I told. My answer is hardly more than a sceptical eye glance, and the rear door is already open. A new way of getting to know a car namely with a chauffeur.

His real strength: The interior

It turns out that the guys at BMW have been very creative. For here we read: “To meet the car from the inside to the outside”. A rogue who thinks evil. But everything about the  outer shell is forgotten as soon as we can propagate in the ground, and that is quite literally.

The sense of space is fantastic, despite the sloping rear roof line, not least thanks to the bright leather trim and huge panoramic roof. Exclusive materials dominate the whole interior; everything sits perfectly in its place. All the comfortable seats can be configured individually.

And it goes on in the ground. The legroom is that of a luxury sedan. The optional monitor shining through a high resolution and excellent colour reproduction. Using a remote control, the monitors can be controlled separately. Thus, one can watch the latest movies while the other is happily on the Internet.

Even the ride, including the pleasant shock damping leaves little to be desired. In no other BMW sedan with the exception of the BMW 760 in the long version you will feel more comfortable as a passenger.

The second look: the sympathy grows …

Arriving at the hotel, I am almost tempted to say with a snobbish undertone: “James, please open the door”, so sublime, I feel after this ride. I can resist, luckily just so. Barely got out, take a more detailed look at the sheet metal dress.
The front view provides dynamic, not least by the presence of the upright BMW kidney grille, the large air intakes and slanted double circular. The daytime running light is first presented by corona rings with LED technology. The stern wins more horizontal lines in breadth, which is fed by the L-shaped taillights with homogeneously bright LED’s.

As much as the X6 flashed me at first glance, so little can the 5 GT at the second. However, he do not looks so spotty anymore after the outward journey in the rear, but entirely fine-tuned on the driver and passenger.

Never in my life, would I have thought that there would be that much headroom despite the sloping roofline. The recently tested X6 showed exactly here, where his contras were. But the 5-GT they’ve really thought from the inside out. And slowly wide sympathy for the little ones came up.

Finally driving myself

After a quick check-in at the hotel I can now finally test him. The elevated seating position allows a more comfortable entry and provides a greater clarity on the roads. The cockpit itself is perfectly processed. The driver will be pampered in the centre console with a large widescreen LED display. The I-drive, the latest generation, provides a fixed implementation of the commands.

For me, as I-phone freak of the first generation, may not be missing the USB integration. This works perfectly. However, for the perfectly integrated music taste, as with other manufacturers, a special cable has to be optional ordered to do so.

Rear visibility is equated with that of the X6, relentlessly bad and a tribute to the design. Which was well aware of BMW and therefore the Park Distance Control system is standard. Of course, just for the heck, for all round “beep beep” is extra. However, a rear-view camera is a useful additional investment.

The LCD Display is brilliant. The screen is sharp and active, almost without delay. A significant step forward, for the X6, which is currently being shipped with the old system. But now the engine is first started. Over hundreds of kilometres along the coast is expecting me, the twisty mountain roads and through the beautiful Lisbon.

great engine pulls a lot of weight
The much-appreciated 35i provides good driving, and comes completely revised. For the first time turbo charging, gasoline direct injection and fully variable valve control VALVETRONIC are combined. That should make more efficient fuel consumption.

From 1,200 to 5,000 rpm are available at an output of 225 kW / 306 PS 400 Nm of maximum torque. Thus the series of six successful sprints from 0 to 100 in just 6.3 seconds and a maximum top speed of 250 km / h (electronically limited).

However, if you have 2 tons on the ribs, should not be surprised if even the best aggregate eventually makes slack. The usually for a gasoline engine very pleasant torque band almost fizzles out and only at high speeds the series of six came up again.
But sporty like this the main part of the buyers would drive rare. Here, the recommendation is clearly towards 3.0d. Full torque from the basement, with an efficient fuel consumption, which today are the magic words. Who cries for more power, get the 550i whopping 300 kW/407 hp V8 from a Twin Turbo.

Suspension:  Gran Tourismo Deluxe

The chassis is sublime, no doubt, just as it is just one of a BMW. Therefore, with the adaptive suspension provides roll stabilization (3,000 €). At-speed corners hounding soon is clear that BMW is very serious about giving character to comfort-trip cars. The GT can be irritating and rather reluctantly inclined to safety under steer. The rear only give word when harsh load changes are provoked.

However, the sedan masters the sporty cornering with absolute sovereignty and can not miss the joy of driving. The steering wheel can be activated depending on the smooth comfort mode (normal) or tightly (sport and sport + move). Similarly, the chassis and the motor reacting are thereby influenced. The precise nature of the Bavaria steering behaviour is still given, but feels a little soft than usual – to match the travel character.

Steptronic: here and there a little delay shifting

In city traffic, the first time outside of the 7 Series, the available 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission is struggling with significant problems. Far too often the automatic response even in sport mode too slow and takes gas orders often very delayed.
Especially in a city like Lisbon with a lot of roundabout and short acceleration traces this weakness is quickly clear. On country roads or the highway there is nothing to complain; here the GT satisfied perfectly and has to be called, without any ifs and buts an excellent trip car.

Big hatchback,  small hatchback it is your choice…

At the photo shoot in a small fishing village some more details on the GT came up. If at all possible, BMW can always find some way of divide the trunk. In Gran Tourismo, this was interesting to solve. Normally, the trunk has a capacity to 440 litres in volume. In addition, a wall against annoying drafts was installed in the rear. If necessary, the rear seats can be folded down and the storage space increases to 1,700 litres.

Who wants only little things in the trunk, may do so by a small hatchback. Especially in garages with low ceilings, the little hatch is worth gold. Will there be something more; the entire tailgate can be opened like a lift back.

Bestsellers Character

After getting out, another look fell on the body. And somehow it is now reality, I started to like him. I can not say why, but I know only in its entirety, I really appreciate this car. The Gran Turismo definitely polarizes. This is as clear as the Amen in church. Nevertheless, the Gran Tourismo is an excellent choice for well-heeled skiers, families of four or even as a chauffeur car.

The neutral design of the chassis and the light steering can miss a little of the typical sporting character of BMW. The interior shines with this luxury 7 Series level. And that’s why the new 5 Series Gran Turismo has the potential to be a bestseller.

Things look dodgy for BMW Sauber

It appears that FOTA were not 'All for 1' regarding an extra place on the 2010 grid for BMW Sauber

Given the number of posts I’ve made expressing concern over the fate of BMW Sauber it surprised me that this wasn’t reflected in some of the other F1 sites, however this appears to be changing following the Japanese Grand Prix.

With the announcement that FOTA will not be pushing for the fourteenth spot on the grid (reportedly due to vetos from Williams and Campos), it appears that the team currently known as BMW Sauber’s only chance of securing a place in 2010 is if one of the thirteen confirmed teams pull out. Although this is a possibility the team are having to progress their plans for 2010 under a cloud of uncertainty, this makes issues such as securing contracts with drivers, engine partners and sponsors particularly problematic. For this reason it is likely that the team will put pressure on the FIA to weed out any of the potentials who are unlikely to make it, although whether this is feasible remains to be seen. It is also not clear whether the Qadbak acquisition of the team is a speculative move made with the intention of selling on the team if they get a grid slot, or whether this is a real commitment to invest in the long run, the current signs do not suggest it is the latter.

What is Avicenna? For morons and there's Zoo

“ It became the first city in history assaulted by nuclear armament when the  United States of America dropped an atomic bomb on it on August 6, 1945, near the culmination of World War II…

On September 17, 1945, Hiroshima ( Heroseema) was struck by the Makurazaki Typhoon(Typhoon Ida), one of the largest typhoons of the Shōwa period”- Who knows what is it?

New Prime Minister of Japan

Yukio Hatoyama- translated as -you a falsificat and illusionist for that you have pit. He was born 11.02. as my own son. His wife have interesting name too, more- she is actress. There’s child has education in Moscow as engineer – it means fig tree for oil and gas as for Taro Aso.

“Hatoyama comes from a prominent Japanese political family which has been called the “Kennedy family of Japan.”

Kennedy was only information picture of my own father- they killed him with the help of there Belarus agent because they think by there pure mind – my own father must seat down at throne of the USA by himself -John Kennedy was killed 22.11.1963 and John XXIII was killed five month before- 03.06.1963 after the meeting with Chrushev’s -Khrushchev’s daughter Rada Adzubej -Rada Adzhubei and her husband – 06.03.1963. After that meeting that happy family decided that John XXIII – my own father. They repeated the killing with John Kennedy.

Foto Khrushev and Kennedy in June 1961 in Vienna

Who was my adopting mother and with wich name she lived before?

And why in 1963 that Kruchev decided to plus for Ukraine and Lastochkino Gnezdo- Swallow Nest in Krym to his private property after the killing John XXIII and John Kennedy?

That Mr. Pit can not be from the” Kennedy” family not as information picture , not as with own relations with us. Surname Kennedy have translation as – to NN I am going.

Yukio Hatoyama’s wife have native connections with Josif Stalin’s family. Who now seating in Japan?

( Look the beginning  ” Taro Aso from Ginko family, Chikako Aso as the daughter of Diliara Zabarova, basin of fig tree of oil and gas, CNN, Volkswagen, BMW and Zoo from Japan” wordpress.com

In Wroclaw translated as – Slava is robber in Poland- was Zoo. Another Zoo – in Sverdlovsk- were has his appartment Sergey Lopatinskiy and Natalia Bondarenko-Lopatinskaya. That appartment they selled to Aleksandr Yakovlev – now Aleksandr Turkin.

In Moscow near Moscow Zoo live Oleg Lobov at the Zoologicheskaya Str. Why that nice terrorist with strong connections with terror in metro Tokyo decided to live in such interesting place?
Robbering all my own inheritance financies and profits which they could to took, they all so like to live in my own Castles , that till now as
Clowns wriggle near me and my own sons.

With that my own inheritance after my own grandmother Castle Wolfsburg – Wolfsburg Schlosse – they appropriated one more little present – that firm

Volkswagen was my own inheritance from my own grandfather. For that Marina Berlusconi – Mechrenceva happenly helped to robbed my own inheritance such freaks as Andrey Kozuchov – Mechrencev, Andrey Titov- Romas Marcinkievicius, Igor Titov- happy husband of Dariga Nazarbayeva, Modest Prokopiev, Aleksandr Turkin – Aleksandr Grigorievich Dekanidze or Dzerzinskiy- Sverdlov and etc.

His grandfather shooted the Royal Romanov’s family in Ekaterinburg and that’s town after that has the name Sverdlovsk.

What relatives they have and how old are them’s?

In April 2008 Marina Berlusconi decided to marriage with some Japaneese. And has a wedding. That information in a shot period of time disappeared from internet and appeared another information with another husband.

And Silvio Berlusconi at that momemt quickly decided to seat down at the place of Prime Minister of Italy. Look the beginning  ” Taro Aso from Ginko family, Chikako Aso as the daughter of Diliara Zabarova, basin of fig tree of oil and gas, CNN, Volkswagen, BMW and Zoo from Japan” wordpress.com)

In Japan parlament – interesting deputy Naoto Kan – translated as – have and take or go to An and another go to An. That Naoto Kan look like ordinary tatarian . How he appeared in Japan?

As in Russia Naina Elcina presented the ruling to her native daughter Tatiana with the new name Ludmila Putina, in Japan all last years rulling in my own inheritance Mechrencev-Kozuchov- Lopatinskiy- Lobov- Nazarbayev family give to each other the place of Prime Minister of Japan- there’s mr. Mikasa- translated as – we are bank cash and mr. Akihito- translated as – Ak hi hit that- all that years rule in the country with the financies from my own inheritance, forgott to inform me about that and th pay the profits.

With connections with appropriating my own inheritance in Middle East ( as Saudi Arabia and etc.- Al Waleed bin Talal – with the face of russian militarist Andrey Kozuchov , new made king Abdullah- translated as – swindlered ah- with the face of the native brother of my adopting mother – without make up – he was Benedict XXVI , with make up – king Abdullah. Who knows what is it?)

The same situation in Italy. In new made Berlusconi – Mechrencev family.

As Bush family, as Clinton’ family , as Barrack Obama- translated as – barrack have both and boss from Russian special and prostitute service mixed with Negro, Mongolian, Kazachian’s and etc. which appropriated under the names Primakov, Ginko–Surkov, Lobov, Breznev, Lopatinskiy,Chrushev- Khrushev , Dzerzinskiy my own inheritance in Russia and USA.

In Japan rulling from my adopting family new baked mr. Mikasa-translated as – we are bank cash and mr. Akihito- translated as – AK hi hit that- all of them lost not only oil and gas industrial places but steel and weapons too.

Miyuki Hatoyama – translated as – ma-a-y as cat for that and pit.

Now in Greece the same situation. Armenian- Georgian- Russian’s freaks from Stalin-Lopatinskiy, Cruchev -Ezov- Vorochilov’s family present the role of the head of the country to each other.
Who are that Polish – American freaks which appropriated Lithuanian Mazeikiu Nafta- my own inheritance, Polish Plock , Gdansk, opened new bank under stolen from me profits and inheritance business , who started appropriating my own inheritance near me in Lithuania and jummped later and pressed me till now ?

Baked the financies in China they jummped to Japan.

They are so business , that they lost all financies in China. In any words defecated that financies. That new baked wife from China as new baked wife of Rupert Murdoch- double – Rupert Murdoch by himself was killed in Lithuania in the beginning of 1990 under the name Vytautas Landsbergis- Zemkialnis ( father). After that killing they appropriated my own inheritance in Australia too.

Appropriating 500 thousands billions from the year during minimum 20 years they pay now for us there’s pension from mad house for licking there’s bottom’s near 1000 euro for month- and not paying -underpay from that sum every month 200 euro, plus take payment to prostitute Silvia with her gigolo Alex Gliklad – 370 euro every month for appartment after the killing here old peoples- property of that victims, which that gigolo appropriated and which they all chew and which the soulruin for Jews.

New prime minister of Japan Yukio Hatoyama at first decided to meet with Barack Obama.

Foto – who payed for all of that? And where are my own inheritance financies from Federal Reserve ? It is the private bank, by the way, and my own inheritance after my own grandfather .Foto- who payed for there’s elections and from which financies?

Who has allowed to that freaks to take my own inheritance financies, business, profits, villas?

Who has allowed to that freaks to opened the testament of my own grandfather and own grandmother without me and without information me at all? Who have in his seif box now that testament? Who decided that it is possible?

Who has allowed me to installed and to pull for perineum and vocal chords?

In ears amplifiers of a sound and at the head of my and my own sons magnet’s-who are that fascists rubbish maids and there’s gay’s?

In old Egypt buryed with all property of the deads – nobody did not take not there’s

The son of new prime minister of Japan has education at Moscow state University as Evgeniy Primakov. That Primakov with native relations with Kazakhstan and Georgia was from Ukrainian special service with connections with Nikita Krushev.

In any words great kazakhian- georgian’s mixe. Who was my adopting mother before she decided to appropriate the own name of my own mother, her own daughter and her inheritance , business, financies and profits?

Native son of Evgeniy Primakov- Aleksandr now in Greece play the role of great bankier, robb and kill the old peoples and stole the childs. In any words he has strong connections with raven’s and with mass cemetery in Greece under the name Irakliy- translated as -and cancer to pour. Some years ago that Primakov has the big debts for Arab countries and started the war between Kuwait and Iraq.

In Kuwait he took a financies and happenly deficated ( defecated) them’s. Native daughter of that Primakov Nina was a director of the school where my own sons has education- school 60 in Vilnius.

Native granddaughter of that Primakov for there’s legende died in twin -towers, when they ruined the property of my own grandfather and my own inheritance twin-towers 11.09.2001. – and three weeks later they started first savaging attacks against me.

Don’t forgett ,that they killed David Rockefeller in 1975 in the Primakov house and to USA happenly going the double – illusionist and the conjurer and became to rule in my own inheritance. Another native daughter of thart Primakov- Natalia Stroganova happenly helped to Sergey Lopatinskiy to spend my own inheritance financies.

When they need more – they ordinary took that financies in oil and gas concern Opec- under the trusteeship my own inheritance – as for my own needs. Paying for me with my own youngest son 60 dollars for both for month.

When my oldest son became to help me and to sent financies -they ordinary opened against him mass criminal cases, beating, him at regular basis, makes a mass of gangster’s attack’s against him and his office and blocked at there’s villages.

They undressed him in regular basis, when they see that he have financies. And sticks round with there prostitute’s and villages familes. Natalia Stroganova was the wife of the son of Yuriy Vladimirovich Andropov- Yuriy Stroganov.

One controll me in the newspaper, she control me not only by installation but with the help of her sister pressed my own sons in school too. Her native brother Aleksandr help to Natalia Bondarenko-Lopatinskaya from the bank Snoras – system of Conversbank to take my own profits from my own inheritance. Who decided to sell my own profits for that bank and for what reason?

That Aleksandr at that moment has the name Alex Gliklad. He – the partner of Josif Kobson- great and interesting singer with the name -policeman in zone and son of Josif Stalin.

That Kobson now have in his family some Michelle – native daughter of Michelle Obama. That Michelle- native daughter of Lubov Mazurina- Eberzenok with new name Irina Abramovich. As Roman Abramovich and under that name sometimes gone to the scene Konstantin Smirnov. And why was mass killing in Kuwait after that Primakov’s credit? That Primakov was the native brother of Raisa Gorbacheva- which now with Arkadiy Volskiy and his Conversbank at my own financies and profits happenly lived in Spain. (His wife Laura Charadze

played the role of Laura Bush in USA. Her double look like mother of Renata Kochneva – Kochneviene)

Raisa Gorbacheva legalisated her death 20.09.1999.

With strong connections with Larisa Bakova- native daughter from my adopting parents- now Asma Al Assad in Syria and with her mass doubles as Letizia in Spain.

That Larisa from native relations with gipsy’s and tatarian maids as Raisa Gorbacheva.

Such gipsy’s liked very much some Smirnov – Gromov- Elcin’s family with connections with Ezov- ex soviet fascist. There’s native daughter has a picture as Barbra Streizand and Ludmila Putina. Her name was- Tatiana Elcina. Foto -

when died Boris Elcin ( he was from Boris Gromov – Aleksey- Ivan- Smirnov’s family – with George Soros face – translated as -slop pail from Russia.) That Smirnov’s and campany ruled in my own inheritance fund, which they named George Soros fund. At cementry -Why were surprised Bill Clinton and George Bush?

The great financial ruler of all that gangster’s clan in concern Opec – Sergey Lopatinskiy with the face of the actor Sergey Stepanchenko and Sergey Zagrebnev- Zarembo. Both of them with native relations with Nikita Krushev, Ezov , Voroshilov.

Both of them helped to new prime minister of Japan some Yukio Hatoyama to seat down at that place. With the installation in nose. Who knows what is it ?

One of the childs of some Ludmila Putina- which was in real live Tatiana Elcina- Mechrenceva- Kozuhova , educated Japaneese language -Katerina. May be she decided to play the role in performance – the granddaughter of The King The Son. In 1986- 1990 they played the role of granddaughter of Anastasiya Romanova in Germany. In 1993 Ludmila Putina was under plastic operation after car crash. What is it? She was killed in 1993 and her biography was needed to Tatiana Elcina ? Who and what appropriated in Germany from my own inheritance from my own grandmother?

The system of Conversbank – Konversbank in which ruled Arkadiy Volskiy has strong connections with George Soros fund- my own inheritance from my own grandfather.

More- in Gorbachev’s fund, where happenly ruled Irina Noskova- Smirnova ( she was registrated as the daughter of Ivan- Aleksey Smirnov with native relations with Boris Gromov and with George Soros face and Ija Smirnova with the face of Elizabeth II ) under the name Irina Gorbacheva. They took the financies from that new named George Soros fund and spent it to the fund of Michail Gorbachev.

That fund name’s under the memory of Raisa Gorbacheva, which legalisated her death and organised the throne for herself in Spain at my own inheritance, getting into her head the crown from the paper. Don’t forgett that she -native sister of Evgeniy Primakov. He was Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Leonid Breznev’s ruling- now in his new biography he forgott to tell about it.

In fund seating down Irina Noskova- Smirnova under the new name Irina Gorbacheva.

And happenly deficated that financies for there’s needing’s. What do and done that maid in my own financie’s and my own inheritance? Now she that Irina Noskova- Smirnova- Gorbacheva in Greece with her great helper in the bed Aleksey Smirnov- which 21.09.2009 decided to beat me. Understand?

That Aleksey Smirnov work as the man on a call at Taxydromiki.gr- Main Address: Kifisou 14 – P.O. 18233 – Call Center: 210 4851100 – Fax: 210 4812902. One of the address near Teleperformance, where all that slop pail family grasses me and my own son.

They live in Athens at Isminis 80 and Isminis 76, where live the stolen childs and childs of killing parents for sex trading. Near that Isminis 76- transportation cargo firm SABINO- where ruled some Armenian freak. He is coordinator of all that’s prostitute and killing business ( for killing). There’s friends rule in Greece.

Nikitas M. Kaklamanis was” born April 1, 1946 the Mayor of Athens. Kaklamanis studiedmedicine at the Medical School of the University of Athens. His medical training was spent inIoannina” and he was ” Assistant Professor of Radiotherapy–Oncology”. He was Ministry of the Health in Greece. Understand?

He was born in the day of russians jokes. And was an active member as Dora Bakoyannis- Irina Mamonova in the cleaning and killing the citizents of Athens.

109-111 Mesoghion Ave., 11526 Ampelokopi, Athens, Greece. Geniki bank covering of the Geniki Taxydromiki. gr.

“Since 2004, GENIKI Bank is a member or the Société Générale Group, one of the largest and most powerful financial groups in Europe, present in 82 countries.” When they started to kill the peoples in Greece since 2002 – 20.10.2002 -when they went me and my own son to the death in Lithuania- Dora Bakoyannis -some years ago she has a name Irina Mamonova and educated with me in Sverdlovsk at the same school and class and has a native relations with my adopting mother- her native mother was a sister of that slop pail adopting – became a mayor of Athens. From 2003 they started the appropriation of business and financies after the killing peoples in Greece. Irina Mamonova has medical higher education in Sverdlovsk.

To that shop “Dora” where they rule with the name of my own mother( that name appropriated adopting mother as etc.) at Isminis 82 makes supply’s firm with tel. number – 210 28 35746-747. That shop -place for distribution of poisoning substance’s. At the other side of that shop – house for childs- as childs garden – the place of the transit the stolen child’s and place of there’s transitory appearance. It is a place of store(keep)of the key’s of the killing victims houses and there’s dresses. And such situation in all Greece.

In Moscow that Conversbank- Konversbank was at the address Str. Goncharnaya 12.

That bank was in the hands of adopting mother- Dora ( Zoya ) Ignatievna Lopatinskaya and new made David Rockefeller in USA.

In any words Primakov- Breznev- Gromov- Stalin- Krushev’s families with the mass names but with there’s old faces.

At Goncharnaya Str. number 1 was ” Obschaya Gazeta” – in that newspaper- with Gorbachev as the owner- worked I, Vitaliy Yaroshevskiy from my class and school as vice editor and Anna Politkovskaya. At that address was registrated the Laboratory of AID’s and cancer. Who was the owner?

In 1979 that Gromov- Smirnov’s and Breznev’s families started the war in Afghanistan, blocking me in Volsk with two little childs. In 1981 in Egypt was killed Anwar Saddat and seating down some Hosni Mubarak – translated as – Mu-u-u and moo barrack. From Afghanistan they transported the zink coffins with Afghan’s soldiers (under the names of Soviet Union soldiers) which now have mass grave’s in ex Soviet Union.

And from that time in Afghanistan happenly live’s as now in Greece new baked citizen’s from Russia, Tatarstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and etc. All that Armenian- Georgians stinkers and skunks, dependents and beggars to my own banks accounts and profits from my own inheritance with there’s Mkrtchian, Noskova, Gromov, Gorbachev, Lopatinskiy, Krushev’s family’s with variants with the names -as invalid’s in the carriage’s jumping following me and pressing me debting billions and thousands of billions.

Now in Greece they cleaning the territory and killed the biggest part of the citizen’s of Greece with the help of that Hosni Mubarack and his gas from Egypt named Zarin-Sarin.

That Hosni Mubarak look like little Konstantin Likhosherst- Korotchenko- which native father was Andrey Korotchenko and mother Elena Likhosherst. Native daughter of Zinaida Likhosherst with the face of Barbara Bush in USA. And sister of Maria Likhosherst – now with new name Sheikha Moza in Qatar. As that Maria Likhosherst, as Lubov Mazurina- Eberzenok -studied with me at the University in Sverdlovsk. The great third gas countries as they named themselfes- Russia, Qatar and Iran.

In Russia rule’s happy husband of Tatiana Elcina – Vladimir Putin and strange mummer under the name Dmitriy Medvedev- double from the bear and honey know Jew.

In Qatar some Sheikha Moza- which some years ago was Maria Likhosherst from Kiev and has education with me at the Ural University in Sverdlovsk.

Her happy husband look like overeating Ivan Kostromskoy from my school and class, which lived in Sverdlovsk at the Str. Tatisheva-translated as – looking the Father Jew and she. In Iran “The first militant anti-Shah demonstrations were in October 1977″ – 8 month later when I borned my own first son . In september 1980 Iraq and Iran were during the war. In that time started the war in Afghanistan – during 9 month.

From 02.10.1981 some Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hoseyni Khāmene’i became new president of Iran. Iran have a border with Afghanistan.

Leader was Sayyid Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini. He started the revolution to appropriated the financies of my own grandfather. Later some Mahmoud Ahmadinejad started the privatization in Iran. As in Russia Anatoliy Chubais and in Israel Tzipi Livni.

What financies put in Iran my own grandfather and who decided to appropriate that financies as in Vietnam and Afghanistan?

In the beginning of 2000 the great relations between Belarus and Iran took place. From that time some Michail Fridman with connections with Stroganov- Andropov- Primakov families ( and with Ludmila Kozlova – Sherbenok from my school and class with the face of Sara Palin in Alaska) draged by tankers the oil ( and gas) from Iran.

What gas took Belarus and Russians freaks, robbers of my own inheritance , in Iran? Gas from Hosni Mubarak they took in balloon. Later when they poisoned me in Poland under the rulling of Angela Merkel with the face of Oksana Ginko, some times later to Poland jummped Hosni Mubarak 11.03.2008. And 14.03.2008 they proposed us to leave the Poland. They decided that financies, business and property they can to divide without me at all. And now the question- what gas they transported to Poland and what faces now live in Poland instead Polish?

Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei ,  rule in the country of my own trusteeship and inheritance,

04.06.1989 as Supreme Leader. Before that- he was a president of Iran. Iran is Opec country and somebody from that country must be the trustee in my own inheritance oil and gas business  monopoly. I wrote to that leader so many times that the time for answer  was ended in last century.

As for his boy Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. That Ahmadinejad was in Italy near Silvio Berlusconi with Hosni Mubarak – from that country I wrote for them so many times- and Bashar Al Assad was in UAE, when was air crash in UAE and was killed young man – he was registrated as the brother of Armenian  freak Khalifa, but in real life was not his brother at all. May be he was an inheritor of the higher trustee percents?

At the site of that leader some times ago was Kirghizian language- now Russian, Ispanian, Azerbaijan etc. With whom from Russia or Belarus, Spain and Azerbaijan has connections supreme leader of the country of my own  inheritance business trusteeship? And why that trustee till now  does not returned for me any percents from the profits from my own inheritance?  His friend  Hosni Mubarak originally from Kirghizia.  New made son of that friend  Gamal Mubarak- proletariat, looking the oil and gas places – originally from Azerbaijan. What they are doing in Egypt?

Not so far before our unblocking in Lithuania and the Litvinenko killing, which organized Natalia Bondarenko-Lopatinskaya with the campany, 06.11.2001 that leader has a meeting with Aleksandr Lukashenko – private boy of the Lopatinskiy’s -Kruschev’s- Breznev’s and Dzerzinskiy’s- Deranidze’s  family. They have a meeting without translater. In what language they were speaking?

In 25.08.2001 in  Scandinavia was a marriage of one  new made prince with bar worker and prostitute. Two weeks later 11.09.2001 was ruined twin- towers my own inheritance of my own grandfather. And tree weeks later they crushed my only one health leg to hide my own hobble  from the childhood.

For whom they  float  that ruddy prostitute Bondarenko-Lopatinskaya with Dalia Gribauskaite- Grybauskaite face that decided to kill me and my own son one year later? When we returned from the death day in day  23. 10.2002 in Moscow started Nord- Ost.  What is it?

For whom was selled that ruddy floors cloth, that after such trading  Sergey Lopatinskiy, Aleksandr Primakov-Gliklad, Pavel Lobov, Aleksandr  Turkin and  Natalia Bondarenko-Lopatinskaya decided to kill me and my own son?

As in 2008 in Italy now in Greece they make an elections and dancing and singing and playing at the cemetery ,where they have a mass killing of the Greeks.

When they buryed Badri Patarkatsishvili in Tbilisi they were so happy that applaud  at the cemetery. When Lithuanian freaks as Zuokas and K has information that died the owner of the Mac Donald’s system they dancing and  applaud from happiness- they appropriated his business.

That’s slop pail gipsy’s rip out and pull out every cents from our mouth, they found  lifelong overliving pension for there’s invalid’s  robbers and rats mind’s.

Not growing up cattle’s and pigs they where that take meat. More in Greece meat shops and eating shops there are biggest composition of sausages from meat’s, meat’s and  marble meat- who knows where are they take that meat’s?

The trader’s of human’s meat- alive and died human’s meat.

In there’s shops in Athens there are biggest composition from the dresses from the died peoples – that dresses they  give out for new.

They open mass shops for the renovation the appartments and houses after killing  the owners in that appartment’s and appropriation them’s.

They go to the Greece and take as a presents the keys from the houses of the killing peoples and there’s cars. And have a financing from my own inheritance stolen from me. And write off that stolen financing till now as a debts and my own needs, when nobody give them that financies no as a present, no as a debts.

And that freaks make an elections here in Greece .

The key’s from the houses of victims they store in the shop ” Dora”, where happenly work Aleksey Smirnov, which 21.08.2009 clobbered me and till now alive. In that shop they store the dresses of the killing victims. More the Armenian wife of that Aleksey  Smirnov have a hair after special grilling renovation, as white barby  - she play the role of great Hapoleon here – such barby’s so likes Boris Dekanidze or Aleksandr Turkin.

Such hair after special grilling renovation have the Azerbaijanian woman- the Hani’s friend ( he told that he was from Egypt).

Who grilling me all that times my own hair till roots, my own  black eyelashes, who damaged my own legs and makes for me atrophy of the  muscle’s the legs, back, hands, face? Who making to dust all my new things including new computer for which I must pay a credit!  New  travel TV. New travel bed with electronic pompa. All my own new flashlight’s. The electronic  ” Phillip” shaver of my own son. The bed linen.  Grilling and making to dust my own  new dresses, bag  ” Disiel”, new  suitcase and  grilled even pants.

All that freaks from Alfa Group system and connections with Primakov, Lobov, Bush- Likhosherst now Sheikha Moza in Qatar, Gorbachev’s  families.

They till now grub in my own bags, stoling the old papers, post cards, foto’s and till now look’s how to stick to not there’s financies. They till now beat me to the head, crying, squeling and beating to the head by there’s freaks as Aleksey pedophile Smirnov. With native relations with Boris Gromov – great Napoleon in Afghanistan.

That gas Zarin- Sarin they used in Japan in Tokyo metro in 1995. With the help of the great terrorist Oleg Lobov ( his native son Pavel Surkov- Lobov was the happy husband of Larisa Ginko- Surkova now with new name and doubles Hillary Clinton in USA).

That Oleg with native relations with Michail and Nikolay Lopatinskiy’s. That Nikolay was my adopting father. All of them with native relations with Leonid Iliich Breznev- translated as- illness lier need bank of Jews. They were his native sons. Now in Greece as in Japan they started the process of changing the names and masks. As they started that process some years ago when I was appropriated by them’s. Nikita Chrushev- Kruschev became a Soviet lieder and his daughter-with relations with Josif Stalin my adopting mother. Sergey Lopatinskiy was the son of Sergey Chrushev. Which now registrated as great citizent of USA.

Now that Sergey Chruchev- Kruschev write that decided to live in USA from 1990, but really more earlier- he go out from the Soviet Union at the beginning of 1970. In 1975 to his help was sent new made David Rockefeller- real David Rockefeller was killed in Tbilisi in 1975 in the home of Evgeniy Primakov and Laura Charadze- now Laura Bush in USA.

His helper Aleksandr Primakov under the name Aleksandr Gliklad ( legalisated his death in 1986 and from that time lived under the name Aleksandr Gliklad -translated as see or look hidden treasure), which robbed me with the help of there’s bank Snoras – now deficated and make to dust all my new things in his renting for me apartment and make a face that it is not he. My own financies and profits stolen from me they transfered to Cyprus. And happenly deficated.

There’s prostitute Silvia in real live – daughter of the sister of some Ija Smirnova- that sister was from Mazdok. All that nice and big robber’r family stole the testament of my own grandfather and own grandmother.

Japaneese mummer Akihito with the wife visited Hawaii 14.07.2009. They were in Mauna Beach Hotel in Hawaii.

“When Laurence Rockefeller designed the hotel in 1965, he put no televisions in the rooms. The Mauna Kea” – Mauna Beach Hotel in Hawaii. And was in Kahala Hotel & Resort. Who decide to ask them to visit Hawaii in any words who asked his mummers to took a meeting with thepuppeteer? New made David Rockefeller and Kruschev, Primakov – Bush family.

Schlitz Castle- place of meeting of Laura Bush and Laureen Harper 07.06.2007.- they meets in my own inheritance after my own grandmother. There was some summit of some G-8.

Akie Abe wife of Japaneese prime minister- connections with Laura Bush and Laureen Harper from Canada , Joachim Sauer – husband of  some cow Angela Merkel ( she visited Poland and Kachinskiy with private visit 16.03.2007 and I was savagenly poisoned in Poland- that Merkel has the face of Oksana Ginko) , and of that Abe- connections with Qatar and Ludmila Putina.

In any words with Laura Charadze – Primakova – now Laura Bush, Maria Likhosherst- now Sheikha Moza and her native mother Zinaida Likhosherst- now Barbara Bush. More- with Tatiana Elcina from the Elcin- Gromov’s family.

Marek Bienkowskiy- head of security of the Orlen company- that Pavel Lobov which was born as Pavel Lopatinskiy appropriated my own inheritance in Poland.

There’s appropriation they started from Belarus. And after my coronation ( crowing) and canonization in Warszawa they took an agreement with Hosni Mubarak  11.03.2008 to delivering the gas to Poland- and from that time in Poland disappeared Polish’s.  Orlen company with connections with New – York bank and new made Rothschild’s family. 20.03.1995 they started attact’s by Zarin (Sarin) in  the Tokyo subway.

“Mitsubishi Bank (now a part of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group) was founded in 1919. After its mergers with the Bank of Tokyo in 1996, and UFJ Holdings in 2004, this became Japan’s largest bank.”

Mitsubisi Motors- 33-8, Shiba 5-chome, Minato, Tokyo 108-8410 Japan

“Throughout its history it has courted alliances with foreign partners, a strategy pioneered by their first president Tomio Kubo to encourage expansion, and continued by his successors.
